The Installation Process: What to expect and how to prepare!

CONGRATULATIONS!  The purchase of your new kitchen has just added value to your home and is sure to provide you and your family with years of enjoyment.  The gratification is not instant, however, and there are some things to keep in mind during this exciting process.

 When Do We Start?
It will be several weeks before your beautiful new cabinets arrive.  The installation time will vary based on the complexity of your design and the amount of other work involved with your project.  Please, do not try to squeeze in your project prior to a holiday or other big event because even with the best planning, there can be unforeseen delays.
Since some products require extensive lead times, it is imperative that you make product selections in a timely fashion.  Unfortunately, situations beyond our control (damages, shipping delays, stock shortages, etc.) occasionally can and do happen.  Therefore, installation will not be scheduled until all materials needed for the job have been received.

Are You Ready?
Use this time to establish new eating routines.  Your kitchen may be out of commission for quite some time, so consider relocating existing appliances to another location.  Creating a temporary kitchen with a microwave, toaster oven and a place to wash dishes will ease the discomfort.
Also, plan to remove the contents of your cabinets before our arrival.  All valuable items should be safely packed away from the job site.  In addition, consider removing all breakable items adjacent to the kitchen to assure vibrations from the construction does not break them.

What's Next?
Even though our installers will make every effort to contain the dust and debris that is created during any remodeling project, it will undoubtedly spread to other areas of your home.  We apologize for any inconvenience, but the finished product will be well worth the frustration.
Also, our installers will need to have convenient access to the work area.  They may need to make frequent trips to their vehicles, often hauling heavy equipment.  Please plan to accommodate their parking needs.  During inclement weather, understand that they may need to set up their equipment in an enclosed area of your home.  And, for safety, please keep children and pets away from the work area.
Once installation begins, we are committed to providing you with quality workmanship and professional service.  This process, however, requires managing the schedules of many tradesmen on multiple job sites.  Therefore, we may not be on your job site every day.  But be assured, completing your kitchen is very important to us.

What now?
Now...you've been patiently awaiting the completion of your beautiful new kitchen.  You're anxious to prepare your first meal.  You can almost taste it.  But...there's one more thing missing...the countertop.
Most countertops cannot be accurately measured until your new cabinets are completely installed.  Therefore, expect to be without a sink and countertop for a couple of additional weeks.  You may, for an additional charge, arrange to have our installers provide you with a temporary countertop and sink hook-up if needed.

Are We Done Yet?
There is light at the end of the tunnel.  Your countertops have arrived.  They're beautiful and you're fully functional.  But...there's still something missing.  We will now work with you to attend to the finishing details such as installing backsplash tile, decorative hardware, trim work and touch-ups.

Are We Done Now?
Yes...the day has come.  The dust has cleared and your house is once again your own.  The stress and frustration have become a distant memory.  You are finally able to say, "I Love My New Kitchen".
